Climate Alliance - Energy efficient lighting SMEs

het verlichte MKB

Client: Climate Alliance
Period: 2010 - 2012

With the installation of energy efficient lighting, SMEs can save both money and energy. And by supporting SMEs in this effort, municipalities can realize their climate goals faster.

Together with the Climate Allicance, Partners for Innovation organizes a series of workshops about the latest trends and techniques in energy efficient lighting in four Dutch municipalities: Alkmaar, Tiel, Den Bosch and Enschede. There are separate workshops for shops and restaurants and for professionals such as installers, architects and lighting suppliers. The workshops started in 2011 and run through February 2012. The project is financed with a grant (SMOM) of the former Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM).

Light savings
Previously, Partners for Innovation was project coordinator ‘Sustainable Lighting Deventer’. Goal of the project: install sustainable lighting solutions in as many shops, restaurants and businesses in the city as feasible. Through workshops, lighting advice and example cases, companies were encouraged to switch to sustainable lighting. The Province of Overijssel and the municipality of Deventer funded the project. The case studies show a payback time of 1.5 to 2.5 years including improved lighting.
