DutchSpirit, a young and trendy Dutch fashion brand, is the first in the world to produce climate-neutral clothing. Willem Lageweg, Director of MVO Netherlands, received a climate-neutral suit during the Live Earth Alert-manifestation in Amsterdam on 7 July 2007. With the aim to set up a certification scheme, DutchSpirit started talks with the textile industry associations, the Fair Wear Foundation, the Control Union, Made-By, Goede Waar & Co and MVO Netherlands. Partners for Innovation and the Climate Neutral Group have been commissioned to develop the project plan.
